BY: Raphael Richard, Carion’ Tae Harris: DEC 4, 2023

Studies and research show that bedroom colors play a major role in an individual’s sleep pattern. Certain colors can help you prepare before bed, and some can be a huge distraction. Relaxing before going to bed is the best help to condition the body before falling asleep. Multiple studies explain how poor sleep schedules lead to negative effects on the body the following day after waking up. Not only do it mess with body, but it severely affects your emotions!

Depending on the individual, the paint on their bedroom wall can determine the way they sleep. Not many people understand the influence your bedroom color can have on your sleep routine, but this blog will help you understand the importance of many different bedroom colors in 2023!

Hope you enjoy!

1. Blue

When the question “What’s your favorite color to paint your bedroom?” was asked to many furniture customers, majority of the customers answered “blue.” “Why blue?” Well blue promotes a peaceful and calmful feeling than any other color. Researchers associate blue with trust, compassion, and dependability. So, if you love to relax or peacefully express yourself in your bedroom, blue would be the perfect suggestion for your new bedroom color.

2. Green

Another color to help relax in the bedroom and get your mind off things is green. Green happens to be a cousin color of blue. Some would list the color green as number one when talking about sleeping and quietness. Green brings a peaceful feeling to any room, but that don’t mean all greens help increase sleep. When looking for a green to choose, I would choose a softer green for any bedroom.

3. Beige

If you’re the one trying to get a feeling of warmth, beige is the right color for the room. Beige brings balance into a room each time just like white does. This amazing color is very versatile and creates a snug feeling in your space. Many other home designers say beige opens your room to more space and a beautiful neutral color!

4.White

Let’s be honest, majority of the homes had white walls since the home was first built. I personally think white brings everything together in a home and sometimes used as an accent color. Not only is white popular in furniture, but white is considered one of the brightest colors on the color grid. Many people think of luxury living when referring to white! Sleeping in a white room can feel clean, comfortable, and allow you to snuggle with your pillow better!

5. Black

Painting your bedroom black can make you feel secure, and it makes the room darker than it actually is. This happens because black blocks out any light or color that may be in your bedroom. Most modern-day homeowners choose this type of color for the outside of their home or even for a few pieces. Although black is an all-time classic, it’s not a top pick for my bedroom!

6. Gray

Gray is versatile for most bedrooms especially if you have the right furniture set around that color. Having gray in your bedroom can sometimes be dramatic but brings a modern style to the table. Some may say gray is a dramatic color while others may say it lures you to sleep. Personally, I believe gray and blue are wonderful bedroom colors.

7. Light Pink

Always when I think of pink I think of a little child’s bedroom, or a feminine color. Pink is an enlightening and loving color. Pink is a perfect color for a girl’s bedroom since most girls love pink. Going with a natural or nude pink can help with anxiety and relax your mind. Not to mention but pink is eye catchy and can give tranquil vibes.

8.Yellow

Having such color as yellow creates an inviting and welcoming atmosphere. Choosing a soft yellow is an excellent way to help the brain become more creative and fall asleep peacefully. It is proven that certain yellows have a good impact on sleep performance and quality of rest. Yellow is one of the best colors to paint a room for calmness and for stress relieving.
